As part of our exciting topic on Australia, P4 have been making some wonderful connections across the globe!
We were delighted to have a live Zoom call with Mr. McConnell all the way from Melbourne. We had prepared thoughtful questions in advance, and he answered them with great detail, helping us learn so much about life in Australia. It was fantastic to see him again, he was just as excited to see us and loved speaking with the whole class!
In addition, we’ve been writing letters as part of our literacy work to Miss Orr’s sister, who lives in Brisbane. She kindly replied with a special package filled with Aussie goodies and treats! We were so, so grateful and absolutely loved our new koala toys and pencils. In fact, we even used those pencils to write our letters!
These experiences have made our learning about Australia even more meaningful and memorable.
