I’m a P7 get me out of here!
What a fabulous send off for our wonderful P7 class!
A huge thanks to Liz Farnan, Environmental Educator who organised ‘I’m a P7 get me out of here’ fun filled activity day.
Split into 2 teams, there were lots of challenges and opportunities to win gold stars and be crowned queen or king of the jungle. A nightline was the first challenge. Both groups followed a guide rope while blindfolded. Lots of cooperation and communication was needed in order to lead us safely to base camp.
Challenge 2 required the teams to leave base camp and search the jungle for the dinosaur egg (watermelon). Once the dinosaur egg was found by the girls team, earning them a gold star, it was cut up and enjoyed.
For the 3rd challenge, the teams were once again sent into the jungle to identify the birds. The girls were the first team to correctly identify most birds winning them another gold star.
Both teams then had the opportunity to explore the jungle and to build shelters from wood and tarpaulin before
the wood was gathered, the campfire lit and the marshmallows were toasted. The girls’ team were victorious, crowning Kylie Rae ‘Queen of the Jungle’. A fun day was had!
