School Council Update

5^th December 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The school council met this afternoon and have drawn up a schedule of monthly fundraising events from now until the end of June. The fundraising money raised during these events will be used to fund some of the ideas the pupils in Kilbroney have suggested to the school council.

Some suggestions so far include:

• New football nets for the two goals (KS2 playground)
• A new set of goals for KS1/Foundation play area
• Playground markings for basketball

The school council would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr and Mrs Sloan (Sophie in P4’s parents) for kindly purchasing bicycle racks (enough for 12 bikes) which means they will be able to use the funds raised already to go towards one of the ideas listed above. The school council are looking forward to receiving these racks and we as a school are excited to begin using them. Perhaps even some of the teachers will cycle to school!

The fundraising dates are as follows:

Friday 5^th January- Non-uniform and Crazy hair day. £1 to wear non-uniform or £1 for crazy hair but to choose non uniform and crazy hair, please pay £2. School finishes at 1.15pm on this day.

Friday 9^th February- Fundraising activity to be decided. School finishes at 1.15pm

Friday 15^th March- Wear green day Pay £1 each

Friday 26^th April- Fundraising activity to follow

Friday 24^th May- Fundraising activity to follow

Friday 28^th June- Non-Uniform Pay £1 each school finishes at 12noon
